Helping you and your partner address real-life challenges head-on so you can reconnect, understand each other better, and work towards a relationship built on communication and mutual trust.

In couples therapy, the focus isn't on placing blame but on finding solutions. Sometimes, the journey reveals a bond that, though scarred, has the potential to heal and grow even stronger. Other times, therapy can help couples realize that the healthiest and kindest path forward might be apart.

Whether it's about rekindling trust and love or coming to terms with the end of a chapter, couples therapy ensures that the decision is made with deep reflection, mutual respect, and a genuine desire for each partner's well-being.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a type of therapy intended to help people who have had traumatic experiences in their lifetime. During EMDR, a therapist will take you through guided eye movements and other forms of bilateral stimulation (e.g., tapping or tones) while you recall the traumatic event or negative thoughts you are seeking support for. Recalling the events or emotions this way can help reduce the distress associated with them. It is used for a variety of mental health concerns, including PTSD, other traumas, anxiety, and depression. The goals of EMDR include reducing the intensity of symptoms, improving emotional regulation, and increasing self-esteem.

His extensive training includes certifications in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Addictions & Concurrent Disorders, Trauma-informed therapy, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). He also has experience in treating eating disorders and using Motivational Interviewing techniques.

He integrates various therapeutic modalities in his practice, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). His areas of focus include recovery from addiction, trauma, and abuse, as well as managing anxiety, depression, and complex trauma.

He currently works with teenagers (12+) and adults (18+).

My goal is to help my clients lead balanced lives by providing them with the tools and perspectives needed to face challenges with resilience and optimism. Whether dealing with addictions, trauma, anxiety, depression, or negative thinking, I aim to offer practical problem-solving during our sessions. Additionally, I support clients in exploring the bigger philosophical questions that make life meaningful. I strive to create a genuine, human experience that is open-minded and culturally sensitive, allowing clients to tap into their own resources for long-term well-being.

What sets me apart from other therapists is my ability to form a rapid and strong therapeutic bond, and my flexibility in using multiple modalities to meet client needs. I have a specific focus on recovery from trauma, abuse, addiction, and relationship challenges, and I am skilled in working with male clients to explore masculinity and anger management. I place a strong emphasis on self-compassion and building self-esteem, and I am comfortable providing support for grief and end-of-life issues.

As a guiding principle, I resonate with the quote, “You’re perfect. Now change.” This encapsulates my belief in the inherent worth of my clients while encouraging growth and transformation.
